To see which DAB stations you can recieve, use this postcode checker. Signal strength varies by location and where your unit is placed. Weak signals may cause distorted DAB or FM hiss.
Radios, like TVs, need a strong signal. The supplied telescopic aerial—fully extended and upright—usually works well but if you’re in a remote area or a building with steel frames or thick walls, an external aerial is recommended. Even in strong-signal areas, an external aerial can improve performance and increase station range.
If your radio supports Internet Radio, we recommend using it. It doesn’t require a telescopic aerial and generally provides better sound quality and more station options.
Finally, if you are using our R-CD100 CD player with any of our 100 series models, please ensure that the cable is dressed so that it is kept away from the telescopic aerial as this may also affect reception.
