How do I perform a new Station Scan on R2i?

Performing an AutoScan/AutoTune will start a fresh scan of the DAB channels and will add new stations to your radios internal memory. Please note that it is important to ensure that R2i is not touched and that the telescopic aerial is upright and fully extended to allow best reception, when an AutoScan/AutoTune is performed.

On R2i AutoScan is accessed by the INFO button on the RotoDial control. Usually by short pressing (press and release) this button, various information regarding the selected input are displayed, however with a long press (press and hold) other sub functions such as Manual Tune, AutoScan and System Reset are revealed. To perform an AutoScan on R2i long press the INFO button until ‘Manual Tune’ appears and then short press so ‘AutoScan’ is displayed and then press the OK button to initiate a scan. A short press of the OK button will initiate a quick scan and a long press will initiate a full scan. It is important to note that timing is important when accessing and selecting functions such as AutoScan. Pressing and holding a button too long or pressing too quickly may mean that functions are missed, however with a little practice you will quickly learn what to do.
